Announcing our closing down sale and your 'once in a lifetime opportunity' to own a truly unique dollshouse.

'Bodenhams' is our 'One of a Kind' and never to be re-made or recreated flagship.
It was made with an authentic timber framed construction and consists of solid oak, most of which was salvaged from old and unwanted pieces of furniture, or picture frames, ensuring that the wood was well seasoned.

It was built back in 1983 by The Tudor Joinery, later to be re-named Historic Miniatures.
Since then it has undergone a number of restorations and improvements, to add in as much value in the form of higher quality materials and added details. All of which contribute to what Bodenhams has become.

Bodenhams the dollshouse is based on it's namesake from the town of Ludlow in Shropshire UK and is, to say the very least, visually stunning, just like the real thing.

As you can see from the outside of 'Bodenhams', what you're looking at here is something a little different from the normal, run of the mill dollshouse.

It's fair to say Bodenhams is not only accurate to scale (it would look very grand in a museum, or as a large display in an upmarket estate agent's shop), but it is also based on a real building.

Just Google 'Bodenhams of Ludlow' for some pictures of the real building.

The main differences between the real building and this unique dollshouse is the back of the 'property'. The real building is integrated into the surrounding properties, with a number of flying freeholds at varying levels.

So We 'dollshouse-y-fied' it to make it more acceptable and practical.

The interior reflects the quality of the build and you get to see the solid oak beams at their very finest.

Since the restoration of Bodenhams, it has been extensively re-painted in Farrow and Ball 'Estate Emulsions' throughout, adding to the sense of history in miniature you get when you peer into the many rooms.

It has also been completely re-roofed using Richard Stacey 'Versi-tiles', which certainly look the part and have a very real appearance, even up close.

The two magnificent chimney stacks are lovingly finished off with 'real brick' slips, also made by Richard Stacey and the ground floor shop front windows have been given a 'Victorian' style makeover.

.After the last Kensington show that we attended, we've re-painted the exterior in black and white, having decided to try another colour instead of the Farrow and Ball yellow, which wasn't universally liked, despite it being an authentic colour.

'The devil is in the detail' with Bodenhams. From the working metal door hinges to the perfect three story stair case at the rear of the building. From the hand made 'leaded lights' to the planked oak doors and many more tiny details that bring this fabulous dollshouse to life.

All of the rooms are easily accessed via discreetly opening panels. Once closed they are hard to spot, adding to the 'real' look that people have frequently said of Bodenhams.

The dollshouse dimensions are as follows: Height = 40 inches (approx 1020mm). Width = 36.25 inches (approx 920mm). Depth = 27 inches (approx 690mm). The base board is removable and will make the dollshouse about an inch shorter in both width and depth.

As we will no longer be making another Timber Framed Dollshouse for stock (we may be persuaded to make them on commission), we are effectively closing that side of the business down. This means Bodenhams must go and we have decide to let it go for a greatly reduced price.

For that reason we have decide to offer it to you for the give away price of just £3,400.00.

That price includes delivery to anywhere in mainland UK for free. If you live in Ireland, we can always meet you at the ferry terminal on this side of the water.

Bodenhams would make a fabulous center piece to any hotel foyer, museum or shop display.
If you're a private collector of dollshouses, this is the only one like it anywhere in the world.

What else can you buy (of this quality and true value) for just £3,400.00?
