We
are proud to announce that we are now undertaking commissions
to build any timber framed dollshouse to your exacting design
specifications and requirements.
Your dollshouse
or unique model can be of a timber framed building in existence,
such as Hall's Croft in Stratford-on Avon below, or a superbly
crafted model of any timber framed building you can think of.
The choice is yours.
If you own a timber
framed house, our highly skilled craftsmen can model it for you.
The dollhouse can be modeled in any scale. However, all our current
examples are in 1/12th scale (with the exception of one, which
was built as a commission in 1/32nd scale).
All our models are
built to the same exacting standards and consist of an authentic
jointed timber frame, made from seasoned English Oak. All of
the rooms are accessible via pivoted, concealed panels on the
outside walls, or occasionally a hinged or lift off roof.
Interior details
include: Oak floor-boarding, solid stone flags or quarry tiles
on the ground floor, fully working hinged oak doors and glazed
'leaded' windows.
All interior and
exterior paintwork is by Farrow and Ball and the roof tiles and
brickwork is by master craftsman Richard Stacey.
As they say "The
Devil is in The Detail" and no expense is spared in the
fine authentic and historically accurate details. All of our
craftsmen were once in the trade and have many years experience
working on original 'Black and White' (Timber Framed) buildings
here in the UK.
All in all a dollhouse
from Historic Miniatures makes a unique and exclusive gift idea,
whether for a Birthday, Christmas or any special occasion or
that one special person.
All of our models
and dollhouses are build in the United Kingdom by Historic Miniatures.
We would be very
happy to discuss your project with you and you can contact us
here.
